Food Plans – Emotional Sobriety And FoodThis is the diet that I am dealing with right now is the Over Eaters Anonymous -90 food plan, I have it from one of my friends who attends Over Eaters Anonymous, I like it because it is almost custom made for a person with gluten problems. It is established for 90 days but can easily be eaten this way for the rest of your life. It is 90 days without sugar and no flour products (pan, cereals, noodles) The whole grains are good. Here are the ground rules.. Allow 4-6 hours between each meal. Pess all foods and liquids precisely. Sugar should be the fifth ingredient in the list. No more than 5 artificial sweetener packages any day. Dairy can be replaced by protein after the first 30 days. There is no fruit at night due to how your body processes it. Breakfast: 1 serving of fruit, 1 serving of milk, 1 serving of grain. Lunch: 12 Oz vegetables, 1 serving proteins, 1 serving fat, 1 serving fruit. Dinner: 12 oz vegetables, 1 serving of proteins, 1 serving of fats, 1 serving of grain equal to 1 serving of fruit: 6 ounces of any portion of vegetables1 serving of vegetables: 12 ounces raw or cooked1 serving of grain: 2 slices of whole-grain rice4 oz of cooked corn Composition fat: 1⁄2 oz of oil, butter 1 Good luck, I hope you help. I've been doing little test races and good stuff while I was messing up and I didn't realize it until I was writing this. any way tomorrow is my first official day even though I've been tracking it more or less. I'll make an official weight once a week... Friday morning. I'll put my recipes and plan for every day. Let me know how it works for you. Today's weight 180Share this: So: About kittyadventures 28 Responses to OA-90 day Food plan Hello. I just started the 90-day program today! Well, almost, the day is not over. But I had more than a rough time of 4-6 pm when I usually run off. I came home waiting to follow the plan. Although I didn't write it down, luckily I had the right ingredients in my wig. I'll have to write it in the am as I don't trust myself to praise it. I'm trying to walk 30 minutes and spend time doing some spiritual work in the morning. I still didn't walk. I think I have to do it in the morning too since I'm tired at night. How's it going? I hope this is the right plan even if you need to plan and work. Hi, Elia. It's okay. I'm not so good at the phosma feeding plans, but this helps at least keep me on the way. As for walking in the morning, it seems better if I do it first thing in the morning. or R after prayer meditation, then exercise after breakfast. I'm down about 12 pounds but I have 51 and in the middle of Menopaus and prediabetic so the weight loss for me is always very slow. Hello, I just started this. I feel too full and swollen, but it's only been a few days. How are you now? I have been miraculously 'abstinent' for 27 years. I started at OA 31 years ago, however – it took me another 5 years to become fully willing to 'go to any length' and entered the OC program. Because I couldn't find out how when I moved in, so I went to 90 days. Almost the same. It works. He saved my life. Warmest, Judy, could you be my sponsor? I need help. This 90-day OA program really works but it is almost impossible to remain abstinent without a sponsor or meetings. If there are no meetings in your area, check the telephone meetings listed on the 90-day OA website. And then after hearing a couple of meetings, ask someone to run over you. And they'll be there to help you. You won't regret it. Jeanne V. San Jose, CAHi Jeanne You're right, it's always good to have support. I'm a vegetarian. It's been a long journey to get here, but I'm also 36 Lbs Lighter. and the OA program helped get to this point. Eating more vegetables is the key and while you make AIDS meetings help. I used it in concert with the Dr-based feeding plan. McDougalls Starch. I've gone and on, but when I'm stuck with the weight-foot plan and I feel good. Hello Jeanne, I also live in SanJose, I'd love to chat. Can I get your personal email address? Hi, I'm thinking of making the day 90. Could someone sponsor me? I really want to start! Hello, very cool website! . Will I book your website and take the feeds additionally? I'm happy to find a lot of useful information here within the post, we would like to develop more strategies in this sense, thanks for sharing. . . . . If you want to improve your experience just continue visiting this site and be updated with the hottest news update published here. OA 90 food plan works if you hold on to it. I called my sponsor every morning and fished and I messed up all my meals making a meeting once a week. Lost more than 30 pounds in a matter of months. I hope you keep it going. Yeah. The more vegetables you eat the healthier you are and the more stable your weight becomes. I hope you're okay. Hi, I'm looking for support on this trip. I've learned a lot of great things here. It definitely cost the social marking on the review. My partner and I are surprised just how much effort you put in to create this kind of excellent useful website. I was recommended this website by my cousin. I'm not sure if this post is written by him as no one else knows as detailed about my problem. Thank you! May I say what comfort to find someone who really understands what they are talking about on the web. You certainly know how to bring a problem into the light and make it important. Many people have to read this and understand this side of their story. I was surprised you're not more popular since He certainly possesses the gift. Could you be my sponsor? I need help. I'm 68 and I'm losing weight. Once very active and athletic it is difficult to do so many physical activities due to the usual aging problems. I'm gonna try this lunch plan for 90 days and see if I can stay with him. Hard to lift my metabolism. If you'd like to cuddle with this, let me know! I did the 90-day OA program for a while... I don't know if it was where I lived at that time or what, but I found that the meetings were very much like cult, very controlling. Some members outweighed the line and insisted they could tell them what to do with their entire lives, not just how to drive on the program. I had a sponsor telling me that I could not make the obligatory fast in the two days during Lent that my religion requires. I had another member trying to tell me not to take Communion – I'm sorry but are you kidding? Are you gonna tell me how to practice my religion? I met someone whose sponsor fired her because the member insisted that she stop exercising, which was against the doctor's orders. The amount of arrogance and micromanification I saw was crazy. Some of the treatments of members were limited to mental abuse, as they were going to endorse people who were struggling to stay with the program or question things, even if only to better understand things. IMHO the only way to learn to understand and trust that something is good is if you ask questions, and create distrust in people when you are at defensive or react seriously. I had to leave after a couple of years. My experience was so bad that, unfortunately, even in "regular" meetings, I was still unhappy and I had to leave OA together. I am not "waking up" the program in general, as I think there are mostly good people in the program who really experience recovery and want to help others. I share my story only because I want to warn people to be very careful about attending 90-day meetings and choosing their sponsors. This is about your life, your health and your relationship with God, and ultimately no one else you can decide whether the 90-day format, or certain meetings, or a specific person you are looking for a sponsor are suitable for you. A sponsor or other member can express their opinion as much as they like, but even the Big Book says that everything in the program is a suggestion, NOT a mandate. For some OA people it is not a solution at all and I think it is also something to consider. Or you may need to complement OA support with external support sources. I've had to go through five years of counseling in addition to my time in OA to address my compulsions and get to the root causes. If I had gone to OA without therapy, I would never have been able to solve some important problems that the average person in OA has no experience or experience to address. Sometimes other 12-step meetings can also be useful. I sat in AA meetings every now and then and gained a lot of wisdom from those. I went to a few of Incest Anonymous's survivors and suddenly stopped feeling lonely. Recovery can take many forms and we have to be open to what our Higher Power brings to the table. I think the food plan is very good, I've actually started using it again as a framework for how I eat, and I'm no longer in OA. Help in the days my eyes are bigger than my stomach, and I am finding that I need to stick to something that has structure more than ever since I lost my "parts of girls" to surgery and development of hypothyroids in recent years. My husband has never set foot in a meeting and has achieved positive results when he has used it. We are both on GF diets and agree that the 90-day food plan is perfect for those who have celiac or gluten intolerance. My only critique of the food plan is minor and that is not consistent between groups of 90 days. The food plan you have here is so different from what I received, and even between my first and second sponsor, there were differences in what they did or did not allow. So it seems to me that not even 90 days can agree on what to do with the food plan. I feel like this is so long... I hope my experiences are useful to someone. If you are experiencing or seeing maltreatment in a 90-day format, do not be afraid to question it or find other meetings. Do not be afraid to change sponsors if your current one is hurting you more than well and is making recovery more fearsome than hopeful. If you are feeling an inner mud to try something different, consider that it may be your Higher Power trying to reach, pray and meditate on it – sometimes a certain recovery point allows that opening. God bless. I won't be in a cult mindset. I'll decide what my own eating program will be with my enormous power aid. We are all different with different needs. Some people need a program to register. But I need to think for myself. I've been going to the 90 phone meetings of the day and I'll see how it goes. I like the part of the great book that tells us that they are just suggestions that give us the freedom to think for ourselves and feel that it is the right thing. Thank you for sharing Submitted from my iPhone What about drinks. what is allowed Hi I am starting the evening phone meetings, today will be the fifth day, I am afraid to start a food plan because it always fails in time, but I will not stop going to the phone meetings because I really need help. I don't know what gluten-free is, can you tell me? I'm also looking for a sponcser that will sponge me if I include sugar in my food plan, I have tried over and over again to give up sugar but I know I can't so I want to learn to cut and just add it once in a moment, I'm finding that I don't want it as much as I use it. I like to go to 90-day meetings and listen to all the people who have so much recovery, I would love to write on this page. I found you going in the book of your face and looking for groups of 90 days oa and you've gone up, it doesn't look like a regular face book page, do you have one or how I can write on this page and go back to it? JudiHi Judi, I didn't want to hang you. Oh, my God, I wrote about this so long ago. I like the OA program. I think it can be a great help for people. But you have to be a person who does well with the structure. Currently as a comprehensive diet of food plants. This means that there are no animal products and because I am gluten intolerant or wheat products. I lost more than fifty pounds once I finally stopped eating meat and dairy. The good thing about OA-90 is that you can eat vegetarian in it because it's so versatile. IF you are not sure if you also need to cut gluten here is a list of gluten intolerance or celiac symptoms. Severe lower bowel cramps, Pie of athletes that do not clear, excema, an ulcer, hemorrhoids, small sores in the scalp, heartburn (not related to the medicine you could take), Aspecto de initiating adults, dry cough, dry eyes. These are just a few symptoms that I personally found in myself or others that I know they have problems. The fastest way to know if you are wheat sensitive is to cut it from your diet for three weeks. Most of your symptoms will be clarified immediately. The irritation of the skin takes more time to clear up and the ulcers take months to heal but will have a lot of immediate relief. Some people also have diarrhea or constipation or a combination of teh two. for me, this was cleared quickly. I'll do a quick research for a group in the face book for you so keep your eyes open and I'll try to send you a PM too. Hugs and you are doing the right steps in a better health. Well, I found this facebook group for you are also 90-day OA success stories and seem to be really support there is the link I'm also part of another facebook group. I can add you if you want. I'm here on facebook if you want my friend. I wanted to tell you to go ahead, take your heart and I know you'll succeed. It's always hard to start something new, and sometimes terrifying... about the sugar problem, if you have food addictions you will have to stop eating sugar until you lose weight because it can be a food trigger for people... which means eating a little will make you eat more food that day than you planned... you'll get hungry. If you can commit to not eating it for three weeks you will find that your need for it will go and you will find that some things are too sweet. Some more links for you... understand the trap of pleasure. Dr. TED. Lisle talks about the pleasure trap. Food Density (why OA90 works) These are just a few links and I can give you more. Hi, my name's Maggie. I'm 53 and I have a body mass index of 36.6. I'm beginning to recognize the depth of my compulsive food. So many areas of my life I fight seem to be tied up with. Weight, lack of exercise, lack of energy, greater depression, codependentness, relationship and boundary challenges. I've attended 3 OA meetings. I was in treatment for 30 days for depression and codependentness and I've come home for three weeks. All the good positive feelings of belonging somewhere and hope are being exhausted. Looks like I'm slipping into old behaviors. By reading this page from beginning to end I feel connected. Thank you. First of all thanks for visiting my page. Now let me send her breath screams. Stay with him and I know you're not alone on this trip. As you go, you'll feel better abd better. Let me also say that the less processed food you eat easier and better will feel. There are so many chemicals in the food that we eat that it really plays havoc with our emotions and contributes to some to cravings and compulsions. In other words, much of it is food. Keep on with it and keep exploring your feelings while eating. I wish you a wonderful ride on your trip.
